Vince Staples Shares Politically Charged "BagBak"

February 6, 2017

Vince Staples has never shied away from laying down sobering and honest bars about Southern California street life. So it's really no surprise that the Long Beach rapper has just dropped his new single “BagBak”, an eye opening cut that addresses police brutality and racial prejudice in American politics.

On "BagBak", Staples spits passionately over a punchy industrial and pulsating Detroit house beat, and touches on a range of inclement issues that minority communities face on a daily basis. Staples' thought-provoking raps are a necessity in the all too simplistic trap-driven hip hop realm we're inundated with today. Staples is a champion of social change and remains focused on the bigger picture, verbally addressing the broken prison system and racial strife that continues to linger throughout the country.
