Angel Olsen's Sweltering New Video For "Pops"

February 3, 2017

Angel Olsen blew us away with her recent release My Woman. It's an album that's not only been universally acclaimed, but also captures Olsen's raw and mesmerizing essence.

She's been promoting the hell out of the new album, rightfully so, and now has shared the video for her solo piano ballad, “Pops." Shot in Asheville in late 2016 as the fall faded into winter, the video for “Pops,” once again directed by Angel with co-director Jethro Waters, beautifully captures the song’s tender, yet powerful vibe and the range of My Woman. "Pops" is classic-sounding, sonically emulating what it's like when life is both gorgeous and fucked up in equal measure and at the same time.

Watch the beautiful new video below.
