Wilco - Someone to Lose

August 31, 2016

Wilco is one of those bands that's forever in-demand. Jeff Tweedy's Chicago music collective keep things fresh by insisting on switching things up at every opportunity. For Schmilco, the band’s forthcoming 10th studio album, they’ve dialed down their recent stage shows for something lighter and intimate. No more big amps. No more distortion. Just tight, and unadulterated playing.

We've already heard “If I Ever Was A Child” and “Locator,” and now the band shares “Someone To Lose,” a loose and jangly jam that has Tweedy doing what he does best, crooning about romantic mishaps and fumbling our way through life and love.

Unlike Star Wars, which has big, loud material, Schmilco is intimate and gives way to the details and small nuances the bands litters through their songs.

Listen to the new track below.
