Ty Segall - Californian Hills

July 12, 2016

Take a step inside the psychedelic mind of our favorite garage-rocker Ty Segall with his new video for "Californian Hills" off his latest album, Emotional Mugger. A few months ago Ty made his rounds to the late night shows, putting on clown makeup and scaring the shit out of Stephen Colbert, and also dressing up as a satanic baby during an appearance on a random local Chicago news show.  Segall’s new music video for “Californian Hills” features both those nightmarish characters.

Directed by Meghan Tryon and Garrett Davis, the trippy animated clip  is like an MS paint-fueled nightmare, where the Golden State is reimagined as the seven layers of hell. Here, a clown named Sloppo is desperately trying to escape the grasps of an evil half baby/half geezer, who sets loose a range of demented and bizarre creatures to hunt him down.

This shit is complete stimulus overload, watch it below.
