Carissa Moore Dominates Quarterfinal Versus Gilmore

moore The surfing that went down at Bells Beach during yesterday's Rip Curl Women's Pro Quarterfinal was one for the books.

First and foremost, a huge Congrats to SoCal-born and rising star Courtney Conlogue on her quarterfinal win, however the real accolades go to heavyweight standout Carissa Moore, whose performance against six-time WSL Champion Steph Gilmore might have been some of the best surfing done at the Bells event, to date, by anyone...man or woman.

This begs a serious question to us here at Havoc, could, or rather, should Carissa surf on the men's tour? There's no doubt in our mind the Honolulu-native has the talent, and quite honestly, the ability to seriously take down some heats. Think about... Carissa vs. Jadson; Carissa vs. Migi Puups; Carissa vs. Kanoa. With the performance she had yesterday against Gilmore, she could have taken out Jordy if you compare her quarterfinal with Jordy's Round 4.

Have a look for yourself as she posts two mid-9's by doing some of the best railwork around! Wait until you get a look at the layback hack she pulls on her 9-point wave- truly as good as it gets, for a man or woman.
