GØGGS - Glendale Junkyard

goggs Is it really a surprise that our favorite garage rocker Ty Segall and his thrashing cohorts - Charles Moothart and others - have announced another musical project...and another album? When we talked to Moothart a few months ago, he mentioned one of the reasons they pump out so much music is that "it’s in our blood to work that way. Everyone doesn’t want to sit still."

Now Moothart, Ty, and Ex-Cult's Chris Shaw are GØGGS, and are coming out with their self-titled debut album on July 1 via In the Red. GØGGS, an 80s punk/hardcore sort of throwback, is backboned by Ex-Cult’s Chris Shaw, who writes the lyrics and mans the mic. Moothart shreds on axe and Segall takes drums, and the album features guests Mikal Cronin, Denee Petracek and Cory Hanson from Wand. The album features their first single "She Got Harder," which was released late last year. The band have also announced a tour, which begins with their appearances at In the Red's 25th anniversary celebration. See the album artwork and tracklist, and listen to their new track "Glendale Junkyard" below.

Check out their singles below, and don’t miss their upcoming shows in July in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City.
