SHUT is nestled in the beautiful Lower East Side of Manhattan, with roots dating back to 1986 when Rodney Smith and Bruno Musso started the brand. Back then, skateboarding was a 100% regarded in the California, laid-back style, until Smith and Musso decided to claim the entire skate scene New York City and pioneer street skating. SHUT owned two firsts; the first skateboard company out of NYC and the first skate company completely focused on street skating. They were dedicated in bringing the up and coming skaters from New York to the forefront.
The company is a fixture in the skate community, represeting the vast skate culture in New York. The new collection between DC and SHUT features the Lynx Prestige S SHUT and includes details like the classic “SHUT Shark” sublimated graphic on the sockliner, 3M reflective lacing and adds SHUT tags on the heel counter as well as t-shirts and fleece with the classic "SHUT Shark" artwork.
A portion of the proceeds from this style will be donated to the Harold Hunter Foundation, a grassroots, community-based organization that provides support, opportunity, and advocacy for skateboarders in NYC and beyond.
