Mild High Club's Animated New Video for "Kokopelli"

September 27, 2016

Mild High Club's track "Kokopelli" is awash with soothing cool, forming a bit of a contradiction to the classic legends and lore tied to the Southwest Native American god of mischief and music-making. However, Kokopelli's spirit is invoked in their new video for the track.

Fluid graphics and simple sketch animation by Pierce McGarry depict images of traditional natives playing music and dancing, desert wolves, and even Kokopelli himself. Each figure plays gracefully across the screen to the easy beat, as the lyrics pay homage to the divinity of music itself: "Where music touches me, when you're choosing/Keep shuffling because tune-age beats suffering".

Watch the new video for "Kokopelli" below.
