Next Friday we finally get what we've been anticipating from Mac DeMarco, his third full-length album, This Old Dog. And after hearing “On The Level,” “This Old Dog,” and “My Old Man,” there's no better way than welcoming one last track and one final peek of This Old Dog before hearing the whole damn thing.
"One More Love Song" is no doubt the album’s most soulful number thus far. In a conversation with Sirius XMU who premiered the track Mac said this about the new track:
“Sometimes [love songs] come from a specific place, but in a lot of instances they could just be plucked out of the air. Have you ever been in love then out of love? There’s a whole gamut of emotions that come with that changing of the guard. And you don’t forget them, ‘cause they suck, or they rock, and you don’t forget things that rock or suck. So, maybe you pluck from something a long time ago, and the great thing is that everyone understands.”
