Hanni El Khatib - Mondo and His Makeup

Hanni El Khatib salutes the bizarre in the new video for “Mondo And His Makeup”. Featuring a cast of mariachi musicians, cowboys, and burlesque dancers, the video follows a group of men into a sweaty dive bar that’s full of endless surprises.

However outlandish, the video is the perfect visual for “Mondo”, in which El Khatib describes an eccentric character that could be straight out of a John Waters film, according to the singer. Wrapped up in grunge-y guitar riffs and delivered in El Khatibs unmistakeable howl, the finished product strikes garage rock gold.

“Mondo And His Makeup” is a track off Hanni El Khatib’s Savage Times, Vol. 3. Check out the track and the music video below.
