FANNING WINS 2015 HURLEY PRO I'm sure a lot of people out there could have predicted the final heat at the 2015 Hurley Pro could be a blow by blow, wave by wave battle between Mick Fanning and Adriano de Souza.  These two have been battling in heats all year and are, bottom line, just consistent as hell.  Sure there could have been some upsets, and you'd have to be stupid to count out Slater or any number of other contenders, but as we've seen it before, lowers was a skate park all week for the contest, and if someone didn't go completely bonkers, it was very likely that the dogged consistency of the Brazilians and the Australians would produce another hard fought battle to the buzzer.  A cold slap in the face to all the Californian's out there who surf the place daily, but at the same time, a testament to Mick "White Lightning" Fanning, a recent shark attack survivor no less, and his drive to win, even when there are a lot of people in the water, and giant man eating fish apparently, trying to keep him from victory.  Congrats to Mick and Hurley for another great event.
