Allah-Las - Famous Phone Figure

June 20, 2016

After announcing their long-awaited album Calico Review, Allah-Las are finally back and putting out new music with the release of the album's first single, “Famous Phone Figure”. The band has also shared an accompanying video for the track. Calico Review will be the LA-based group’s first album since their 2014 sophomore effort, Worship The Sun.

Directed by Robbie Simon, the video for “Famous Phone Figure” uses light and shadows to paint a picture of the unknowable “Mona Lisa” around whom the song centers. The track itself is melodic and surprisingly stripped down, especially coming from a band that often relies on jangling guitar riffs to drive their melodies.

Allah-Lah’s new EP is set to be released September 9th. Check out the video below for a taste of what is to come.
