Absurd Skateboards New Video "Somewhere...Somehow..."

October 17, 2016

Absurd Skateboards was started about six years ago by former Russian skate photographer Lev Maslov and Absurd team rider Gosha Konyshev. They got together to create Absurd during a time when the Russian skate industry was slowly developing. At the time, Russian skaters began to stop skating for American brands and in turn start their own companies. They quickly created an industry that has a particular Russian vibe instead of trying to fit in with an already existing brand. Brands like Absurd were created to fit their style.

The Moscow-based skate company has a new video out, which was filmed by the company's close-knit crew and well-known Moscow-based photographer, Barabakaa. The new video, Somehow...Somewhere... is shot entirely on a HI8,  with no fish eye and in a very family archive style.

If you never heard of Absurd, HERE you have our article from the “Project Russia” issue.
