AUDACITY - NOT LIKE YOU

July 14, 2016

Audacity released a brand new video for their song "Not Like You." The track comes from the new album Hyper Vesselson Suicide Squeeze Records and is another great slab of antagonistic, but fun SoCal beach punk.

Hyper Vessels is the fourth release from the Fullerton-based outfit, which finds them further honing their craft of we-don't-give-a-fuck sloppiness. Kevin Gibson gives just the right amount of tension and bile in his guitar playing throughout the album to make it an engaging listen, while all of the songs are short garage-punk bangers.

Recorded with tour mate Ty Segall, the production is exactly what you'd expect from putting these two legends of lo-fi together, and that is that there is barely any polished production character. It sounds like they plugged in and hit record on the two-track, and kept the gloss machine unplugged. Enjoy their new clip, which is basically them just goofing around and lip-synching very badly to a stand out track from the album.
