Released as "Frisbee" on vinyl and "Coaster" on cd, this is the 11th studio album by NOFX and was released in April of last year. Something generally cool about this album release is that it's the first album to kickoff Fat Wreck Chords promise to make all of their cds under $10 for now on.
Now for the music. Coaster is basically more of the same from what you expect to hear from NOFX: great musicianship, catchy yet inspirational if you want to go punch an authority figure in the face, and overall a big ball of old fashioned fun. For being released in their 25th year as a band, you'd have no idea they were a band this long- they haven't lost their spunk that they started off with when they released Liberal Animation in '88. The first song, "We called it America" caught my eye, which is somewhat of a tradition with their albums ( I always seem to like the first song on NOFX's albums a lot.)

For around $8, there isn't much of a reason to not pick this up if you're a fan of punk, NOFX, or being cooler than being cool. If you have the chance to easily listen to vinyl, I'd say to grab one if you find it, as it comes with some alternative takes as well as an MP3 downloadable version of the album. Go forth, and conquer.
