Municipal Waste hails from Richmond, Virginia and delivers fresh, crunchy crossover thrash to all the land. Municipal Waste was made only in 2001, but still knows how to create almost perfect thrash metal influenced by older crossover acts such as DRI. Municipal Waste is made up of Tony Foresta on vocals, Ryan Waste on guitar, Philip "Landphil" Hall on bass, and Dave Witte on drums. Dave Witte is the most known throughout the hardcore metal world, as he plays drums for tons of bands such as Discordance Axis and Black Army Jacket. Land Phil also plays guitar and bass for death metal band Cannabis Corpse.

Municipal Waste has only 4 albums, with each one weighing in at half an hour or less, but that's plenty of time for them to prove to you that they can lay the fuck down. Their second (and coolest

;] ) album, Hazardous Mutation, is the greatest example of what crossover thrash should sound like, and almost every song on the album could pass as a "hit single." The second track, Unleash the Bastards, is my personal Municipal Waste theme song, and you can check it out here (as well as some songs from their other albums) http://www.myspace.com/municipalwaste. Their third album, The Art of Partying, is good, and the newest, Massive Aggressive is alright, but the true gem of Municipal Waste is stored within Hazardous Mutation, and it should be apart of every thrash fan's music collection.
