
I pretty sure that once a famous celebrity dies, trying to use their words for a commercial is just plain a bad idea/wrong-on-all-accounts. It's one thing that Kurt Cobain's likeness was used in Guitar Hero, and you can
make him sing Bon Jovi songs and even rap (which would probably make the poor guy roll over in his grave), but using vague archival John Lennon footage to sell cars is just disgraceful. And is that even his real voice? The lip-sync is terrible. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!

And then after watching the ad, Lennon's son Sean
had this to say:
"Having just seen
ad I realize why people are mad. But intention was not financial, was
simply wanting to keep him out there in the world."Sure, but c'mon. I don't need to be reminded about the greats of history by resurrecting them in Pizza Hut commercials.
... Maybe Michael Jackson in a Proactiv commercial. Too soon?
