Canada's Swag

Emerging artist "Joey Stylez" has been playing an important role in pinning Canada on the map as far as Hip-Hop goes. Like many artists in today's techno logic empire, Joey has been gaining popularity by spreading his music videos across youtube. After hearing about this guy, I did a little research and a little watching.

It seems that over the course of 3-5 months he switched from H-town gangster with a slowed down "Slim-Thug" like flow, into an upbeat indie rap hipster.
Now, all judgment and questions of genuineness aside, I love his music. I can't deny that after hearing "Kool Runnin" for the first time I had it on loop all day.

This was just too feel good for me to pass up. It's refreshing to hear something new that actually makes me smile and this certainly did that. After I heard this, I got Mollywopped in the face with this gem

I love these tracks and the visuals for them are on point. I can see Mr. Stylez blowing up sometime soon and I hope that he does. I just had a hard time grasping that this was the same guy. Maybe he did some growing up, or maybe he found a more profitable demographic. Either way, kudos to you Joey Stylez. Keep it coming.
