Hi folks, it's time to listen to one of the most influential punk bands of all time. Known as one of the first hardcore punk bands ever, you can tell all the other punk bands with "flag" in their name to f--k off, Black Flag is where it's at.

Formed in 1976 in California, Black Flag was "mainly" formed by guitarist Greg Ginn, who wrote a lot of the music. At the time, Black Flag played punk in a way that was different from the majority of punk acts, who strummed 2 chords really fast and sang about the KKK; they incorporated various musical styles in their music. Black Flag has had so many members that if I took the time to cite all of them, I'd probably bash my head on my computer monitor, so just take note that original singer Keith Morris formed the band "The Circle Jerks" after he quit Black Flag, and that In 1981 Henry Rollins joined the band as singer. Once Henry joined, they released a badass album called Damaged, and then the rest is history. Black Flag were part of the first wave of West Coast Punk Rock, helped form hardcore, and influenced tons of kids all over the world to sew patches on their pants and pretend to be poor.

Check out their album "Damaged," and then from there just pick and choose albums, as each one is quite different from the others.

So I shouldn't judge them just by "My War"? Cause I really didn't like that song too much. :\
