PUP- DVP

PUPLyricVidScreen PUP came out of no where in 2014. They released their self-titled debut album, which was highly lauded by all the music editorial bigwigs, played 250 shows throughout the US, Australia, Canada and Europe, and solidified themselves as one of the year's undoubted "buzz bands".

Now, the Canadian punks are readying their follow-up, releasing a brand new video for a song they released late last month dubbed “DVP”.  The track is a rip-roaring taste of the band's slightly heavier and definitely more aggressive sound. Directed by Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux, the video shows the track's lyrics playfully worked into footage from classic videogames such as Punch-Out!!Super Mario Bros.Mega ManPokémonMortal Kombat and a wealth of others.

"The four of us grew up in the golden-age of spastic, seizure inducing video games (see: the '90s)," vocalist Stefan Babcock said in a press release. "Our best bud Jeremy had the idea to smash together scenes from some of our favourite games in a hot pile of ADHD-insanity. Turns out that pairs really well with our music. Go figure."
